Christy Canterbury MW is a journalist, speaker and judge based in Manhattan. In 2014, Christy was short-listed for the Roederer Online Wine Communicator of the Year Award. Her articles have been published in Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, TimAtkin.com, Snooth, Beverage Media and Civiltà del Bere, among other magazines and blogs. She is the Italy editor for the Professional Wine Reference, consulting editor of the Gourmand Award-winning book Rock and Vine and wine editor for the just-released Sunday Pasta. As a frequent public speaker, Canterbury’s appearances have included Vinexpo, the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair, the Women in Wine Leadership Symposium, the European Wine Bloggers’ Conference and TEXSOM. In 2014, Christy was on the Advisory Board of the International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration. Previously, Christy was the National Wine Director for Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group and the Global Beverage Director for Culinary Concepts by Jean-Georges. Upon becoming a Master of Wine, Canterbury received the Villa Maria Award for outstanding performance in the viticulture examination. Canterbury was first a DWWA judge in 2013.
