Karl Arbin

Originally a sommelier with experience in and around Europe, Karl Arbin went on to work at The Wine Cellar Grappe in Stockholm, Sweden. After a couple of years at Grappe during which he was also responsible for a fine wine importer, he went on to work for several different importers as purchaser and Product Manager focusing mainly on Italy and France.

In 2011, together with a close friend, he started the highly successful French online wine merchant Caviste SE offering allocated wines from small growers all around France and Italy.

Karl went on to work for Systembolaget, the Swedish monopoly, as purchaser of wine from various different origins like Italy, US, Central and Eastern Europe as well as others.

Up until joining Systembolaget, he also wrote wine recommendations for Swedish national radio on a weekly basis.

Today he divides his time between consulting and running Panache Sweden, a wine merchant focused on delivering honest wines through Systembolaget to end consumers.
