Yohan Castaing is a judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA).

Bordeaux native Yohan Castaing is a freelance journalist, based in France near Bordeaux. Founder of Anthocyanes (a French independent wine guide – www.anthocyanes.fr) and Velvety Tannins (an independent wine guide of Rhône valley wines – www.velvetytannins.com), he also writes for Gault&Millau, France; Decanter.com; Jancis Robinson and some other media.
Castaing held a variety of positions in the wine industry (wine buyer, marketing director, CEO and owner of a wine merchant company). He was a marketing wine consultant and author of several books about wine marketing and wine tourism before, in 2011, becoming a full-time freelance wine journalist focusing on the industry and wine reviews.

2016 is Yohan’s first year as a DWWA judge.
