Buying and investing in wine can be a tricky business if you don't know the difference between a good and a bad merchant. Here's are our ten top tips for investing safely.

Check out the company's background. Is it easy to check up on the merchants trading history? For example, you might be interested in how long they have been trading for, with whom and any customer reviews. Be wary of brand new companies with little en primeur trading experience.
