Denis Lin, a wine and food journalist from mainland China, is a judge in the Decanter Asia Wine Awards (DAWA).
Denis Lin has been working as a wine and food journalist since 2002, following a role as a creative director in advertising, and is the author of “Tipsy Sketch”, “The Beauty of Tipsiness” and “My Wine Tasting Notes”. In addition to writing, he is an experienced wine judge in many international competitions, and works with importers and trade offices (including Bordeaux Wine School, Wine Australia, Vini Portugal, and the California Wine Institute) in organising tasting courses and wine events, and since moving to Shanghai in 2007 he has been promoting and educating about wine around China. Denis was the 2010 winner of the Wine Australia Communicator Award in China, has been on the tasting panel of Wine Press magazine, and his articles have been published in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, in publications including Timeout, Aussino Wine Life, Her’s and Target. Denis Lin has been a Decanter Asia Wine Awards judge since 2013.
