Closed; slightly creamy and smoky aromatics. Bitterness of Assyrtiko predominates; oak adds tannic dryness to the wine. Hot and peppery on the finish.

Richly oaked style. Very much a food wine. Lacks the in-your-face minerality of the unoaked Santorinis.
