Sarah Jane Evans MW

Tasting: Greek Assyrtiko

Closed; slightly creamy and smoky aromatics. Bitterness of Assyrtiko predominates; oak adds tannic dryness to the wine. Hot and peppery on the finish.

Nico Manessis

Tasting: Greek Assyrtiko

Richly oaked style. Very much a food wine. Lacks the in-your-face minerality of the unoaked Santorinis.

Igor Sotric

Tasting: Greek Assyrtiko

Acacia and pinewood, green tones of apples and pears. Camomille, rosemary and thyme, structure and length.
