Tim Johnston entered the wine trade in 1966 with Findlater, Mackie & Todd before joining Hedges & Butler in Regent Street as a trainee. He also spent eight months working in the lower ranks at Château Cantenac Brown in Margaux before moving to Aix en Provence to work for a British company exporting wine to the United States. After fifteen years in partnership with Mark Williamson of Willi's Wine Bar, Tim now runs Juveniles in Paris' Rue de Richelieu, which he opened in March 1987. specialising in Rhone, Provence and foreign wines - in fact anything that's not made of Pinot Noir, and isn't red Bordeaux. Juveniles is a great believer in screw-caps and glass tops, in fact anything that isn't cork!
