A new wine centre, has opened in San Francisco's Ghirardelli Square.
Cellar360, owned by Australian wine giant Foster's, is a wine retail store, wine education centre, tasting room, upscale deli and private party space.
The 1864 brick building, a former woollen mill where military uniforms were made, has become a contemporary space with brick, wood, glass and metal, and striking views of San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz Island.
Some 30 wines are available at the zinc tasting bar, which serves flights of wine and full glasses for pairing with food.
'Over the course of time, we will be able to present more than 300 wines for tasting from the Foster's portfolio,' manager Chris Langston said. 'Guests get to visit a range of wines from Australia to Italy to California.'
Labels include Napa's St. Clement, Beringer, Sbragia Family Vineyards, Australia's Penfolds and Victoria Bitter, the ubiquitous Australian beer.
Cellar360 has joined with Napa's Copia wine centre and Britain's Wine & Spirit Education Trust.to offer wine education classes.
