BBC wants family of wannabe wine buffs for reality show

A BBC production team is looking for a family desperate to start the ultimate wine collection - to take part in the latest TV reality show.
In the second series of BBC show Money Spinners, families have to use their financial ingenuity to make at least £500 a week over a period of four weeks. They can do this in any way they want – by investing, or selling the contents of their attic, or any other money-making wheeze.
Each family taking part must have a long-cherished dream which they only lack the funds to realise. The money they make may be spent on their dream. In previous programmes the most ever saved or raised was £5000.
During the show there are financial experts on hand to offer advice on how the family is doing.
Families signed up so far have members who want to learn belly dancing in Egypt, take part in the Burghley horse trials, buy a Winnebago, set up a burger van, and buy a dream wedding dress, among other aspirations.
And the makers now want a family desperate to start a fine wine cellar. Producer Dominic Sant told decanter.com, 'I am interested in finding families who have always dreamed of having a fine wine collection – a case of Petrus 1982 or one bottle of Yquem 1921 or a case of 1973 Krug - but never been able to afford it.'
As to what constitutes a 'family', criteria are not strict. 'We want three members, all of whom must be 16 or over. They can be cousins, brothers, sisters, grandparents – any combination, but they must be based in the UK,' Sant said.
