Tower wine rack for new hotel

Europe's first ever 4,000 bottle 'wine tower' is the centrepiece of Stansted's newest hotel.
The Radisson SAS, which opened this month, boasts a spectacular free-standing wine rack over 13 metres tall. This construction is only the second of its kind worldwide.
Guests can even enjoy a bottle of their favourite wine hand-picked by flying 'wine angels'.
Four machanically operated 'angels' scale the glass tower using high-speed computer controlled winches in order to select the very best of Old and New World wines for guests.
Diners at one of the hotel's three restaurants have a perpetually moving backdrop as the wine angels glide up and down the tower.
Within the towering glass case sits a specially designed clear acrylic rack system. Weighing over four tonnes, the rack can hold 3,840 bottles and contains a highly sophisticated refrigeration system.
Each bottle of wine is perfectly maintained at its own specific temperature, no matter where it is placed in the rack.
Guests can complement their 'angel' picked wine with a range of food from one of three restaurants. There is a choice from NYGB, a New York-style grill, TaPaell'Ya, a traditional Spanish eatery or Filini, a gourmet Italian restaurant.
The Radisson SAS is the newest airport hotel in London Stansted and has 500 rooms, conference facilities and a state of the art health and fitness suite.
