'Call My Wine Bluff' returns for third year
Providing the live entertainment will be writer/comediennes Arabella Weir and Lucy Porter, newsreader Michael Buerk and stand-up comic Andy Parsons. Each has to taste and guess the identity of eight wines, which will also be simultaneously tasted by the audience.
In 2009, the event raised over £160,000 from ticket sales as well as a live and silent auction of once in a lifetime prizes. Some of this year’s auction prizes on offer are ‘glamping’ at Glastonbury's Camp Kerala, which also includes helicopter transport from your home to the festival.
For wine lovers, there is also the chance to bid on a private wine tasting with Tim Atkin MW and a dinner for up to ten in Christie’s boardroom.
The three course dinner takes place on Thursday November 18 at Lincoln’s Inn WC2. All the wines for the dinner have been provided by Laithwaites. Tickets cost £295 per guest or £2500 for a table of ten. Tickets can be booked now on: 0203 122 0554
