The company plans to continue bottling single estate DOC wines under the Quinta de Roriz and Prado de Roriz labels, along with Vintage Port in appropriate years.
Quinta de Roriz - widely considered one of the best producers in the Douro - will become the home of Chryseia, a Douro red wine made in collaboration with Bordeaux producer Bruno Prats.
From the 2009 harvest, Chryseia will source part of its grapes from Roriz and will be made at the Roriz winery.
Symington Family Estates began its relationship with Quinta de Roriz in 1998, through a partnership with former owner Joao van Zeller. A new winery was built at the Quinta in 2004.
