Krug appoints new CEO

Henriquez succeeds Panos Sarantopolous, who left LVMH-owned Krug at the beginning of December for family reasons.

Sarantopolous was responsible for the launch of Krug Clos d’Ambonnay, the house’s first new cuvee in more than two decades. It retails for up to £3000 a bottle.

Previously, Sarantopolous worked at Hennessy and Veuve Clicquot. He joined Krug at 38, making him LVMH’s youngest ever CEO. He was also the first non-family member to be appointed to the top job. Most recently he also became chairman on the retirement of Remi Krug.

Henriquez joins Krug from Bodegas Chandon in Argentina where she was CEO.
