Champagne Taittinger has said that Kevin McKee has left his job at rival house Moet Hennessy to join the group as UK director.

McKee (pictured) starts the newly-created post at Taittinger from this month, the group said this week.

A Taittinger spokesperson confirmed to that he has arrived direct from Moet Hennessy's UK arm, where he has worked since 2006 and most recently held the position of senior national account director.

The Champagne group said McKee's position, although new, constitutes an adaptation of the ambassador role previously held by Justin Llewelyn, who died in 2012.

'I am delighted to be working with a family-owned house with such a rich history,' said McKee, who will work with Taittinger's UK importer agency, Hatch Mansfield.
