Argentinian Cabernets panel tasting results

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes currently make up 17.5% of all Argentinia's red wine grapes, but with no award winners in the selection of 72 Argentinian Cabernets tasted by a panel of Decanter contributors and wine experts questions have been raised as to the suitablility of Cabernet Sauvignon in Argentina when not part of a blend. Lush and forthcoming cassis, red fruit, mineral, capsicum, chocolate and spice aroma. Superb concentration of fruit and creamy texture. Sophisticated, harmonious and velvety smooth. This is lovely. 17.38pts/20
