Argentinian Cabernets panel tasting results

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes currently make up 17.5% of all Argentinia's red wine grapes, but with no award winners in the selection of 72 Argentinian Cabernets tasted by a panel of Decanter contributors and wine experts questions have been raised as to the suitablility of Cabernet Sauvignon in Argentina when not part of a blend. Vibrant, uplifting bouquet of blackberry, cassis, raspberry, violet, liquorice and tar. Graceful wine with a refined structure, good concentration, superb crunchy fruit purity and depth. Very well made. 16.75pts/20
