History:

Château Olivier, with its romantic medieval castle, has a long and noble history. It dates from the early Middle Ages and is said to have once been home to the Black Prince. As son-in-law of the Lord of Olivier, Baron of Brède Pierre Pernel acquired the estate in 1663, and it passed to his son-in-law, the Baron de Montesquieu, in turn. In 1886, the estate was acquired by the forefathers of today's owners, Jean-Jacques de Bethmann and his wife Reine Claude.
