Bodegas Escorihuela Gascón 1884, Malbec Biodinámico 2015

Founded in 1884 as the name suggests, this is one of the oldest wineries in Mendoza. This particular wine is biodynamic, a point of difference to the other brands that form the Catena group.

Phil Crozier A lovely expression of Altamira: herbal, mineral and fresh aromas with exciting energy and ripe red berries on the palate.
Patricio Tapia This has all the elegance and strength of Altamira. Brilliant red fruit flavours on top of spices and wonderful violet notes. So soft, gentle and well balanced.
Dirceu Vianna Jr MW Elegant and inviting aromas displaying well-defined notes of blackberries, blueberries and wild herbs. Then there’s an explosion of fruit on the palate: juicy with a sophisticated savoury twist on the finish. Very pure, very wild and very long.
