Bacheroy-Josselin, 1er Cru, Chablis, 1er Cru, Burgundy, 2013

Tasted by: Christelle Guibert
This is the négociant label of the reputable Chablis producer Domaine Laroche. It’s a blend of a selection of premiers crus, and a small percentage of the grapes spend time in oak. The result is textbook Chablis with apple and citrus fruit, complemented by a creamy texture.

Premier cru Chablis tends to have more weight in the mouth than basic village Chablis, and that is the case here. Aromas of honey, white flowers and stone fruit lead onto a rounded, waxy, floral palate with hints of baked apple, pear and vinyl. A good match with salads and white meats.
