For my money, Chilean Carmenere continues to get better and better; this wine is a great example. Lots of character and complexity here in the blend of 85% Carmenere and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is well defined cassis and black fruit with a savoury, umami finish. Soft tannins and a pleasing acidity make for a very appetising wine, especially at this price.
