Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Lush smoky nose, opulent black fruits. Rich, suave, rounded, full-bodied, quite chocolaty but there’s no lack of ripe blackberry and cassis fruit. The tannins are ripe, the acidity sufficient, and there’s an appealing spiciness on the finish. Good length.

Ronan Sayburn MS

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Soft complex nose, forward earthy damson and raspberry fruits, already slightly maturing, leather and bramble, soft palate, smoky tobacco on palate, complex, forward and ready to drink now.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Dense red, some maturity on rim, rich berry fruit, good concentration and good length, a bit leathery (Medoc) and firm earthy fruit, quite forward and not for the long term.
