Clean tight tannins, the same blackcurrant cassis fruit spectrum but less intense than in the first wine but, great vibrancy. The wine has a pretty lift on the finish if not huge persistency, with tannins that are smooth, but present. Nicely placed, good poise. 56% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc. The harvest date as close to 2008 at Haut Bailly but with a bigger yield of 43hl/h. They carried out some bleeding of the tanks to concentrate the flavours in the remaining wines, hence the delicious Haut Bailly rosé that you might come across.
