Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Ripe red fruit nose; abundant fruit behind a firm tannin; ripe, chewy, well sustained flavour, clear 1er Cu complexity and with good length too. Fine wine, long term, with excellent length – needing time.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Good deep colour, young rim. Concentrated, slightly earthy yet smooth summer fruits on the nose, quite spicy richness on the palate, with new oak blended in and tannins to give it a good future; an open, quite seductive wine that will keep well.

Sebastian Thomas

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Lovely, scented, ripe strawberry and raspberry nose, and delicious ripe fruit intensity in the mouth that confirms impression on nose. Real fruit density, structured, fine tannins, juicy acidity and a long, mineral finish; excellent.
