Spy Valley

Peter McCombie MW

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Dark, savoury, library book stack; chunky, dark fruit; somewhat chewy dry tannins, lacks a little ripeness

Christine Parkinson

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Fruit sherbet on nose; pretty floral and berry notes on palate. Very light bodied. Subtle oak has a light touch, just framing the fruit, and there is a clayey, earthy minerality. Tannins slightly dry on finish, but a balanced wine with long finish.

Joanna Simon

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Juicy, fragrant, cherryish nose. Structure palate, with some soft tannins and good acidity. Pure, expressive cherry fruit on palate. Very clean with some savoury, almost mineral notes. Has some depth and length.
