Wine lover's guide to Paris
The old favourites
Willi’s Wine Bar
Opened in 1980, this much-loved bar can be proud of its 250 wine references of mainly French wine, as well as classic French cuisine and cheese. But the patron, Mark Williamson, a Decanter World Wine Awards judge, is very much an Englishman. Consequently the bar draws in many tourists, expats and French wine lovers practising their English over a great bottle. One not to miss. Williamson’s restaurant, Maceo, is next door for those wanting a more substantial meal.
