Wine lover's guide to Paris

14 of 23

Juveniles is a buzzy wine bar, where bon vivant owner, Scotsman Tim Johnston will guide you through the wine list and tempt you with sharing platters – including haggis. Along with Williamson, Johnston is one of those neighbourhood figures who has done more for wine than all the cellars in the Palais-Royal area. His own cellar is a hallway nestled between cases of wine, where clients are urged to eat in moderation and freely choose from the wine list – by either bottle or glass. Everything is conceived to make you want to stay till closing.

Juveniles, 47 rue de Richelieu, 75001. Tel: + 33 (0)1 42 97 46 49.
Closed Sundays. €16–€35.
