Wine lover's guide to Paris
Vivant Table and Vivant Cave
Vivant Table and Vivant Cave are both in the same street. Choose Vivant Cave for homey light snacking and sipping, and Vivant Table for a sensory culinary experience. Pierre Jancou, the tattooed chef, has a knack for finding places that have a past (Vivant Table was once a shop selling birds). He’s handily delegated his kitchen to two Japanese chefs, head chef Sota and his sous-chef Masaki. Both restaurants share the same religion, that of serving natural French wines, of which there are many – let yourself be expertly guided.
