Jon Bonné is The San Francisco Chronicle’s Wine Editor, responsible for the paper's wine and spirits coverage from around the world as well as from Northern California. Previously Jon was lifestyle editor and wine columnist for MSNBC.com and wine columnist for Seattle magazine, and has written about wine for such top publications as Saveur, Food & Wine, The Art of Eating and Decanter. His work at the Chronicle has won two James Beard Foundation Awards as well as winning numerous awards from the Association of Food Journalists. Raised in New York, Bonné grew up learning about wine at an early age while working at his father’s gourmet foods and catering business. He attended Columbia University and before writing professionally about wine, he reported on everything from politics to the aviation industry for such news organizations as Court TV, Newsweek and National Public Radio. He lives in San Francisco, where he's working on a book about California wine.
