Nick Clarke MW joined Hedges & Butler in 1960 as a trainee, rising to wine buyer at Bass Charrington. He passed his MW exams in 1971 and in 1978 joined Henry C Collison, becoming managing director in 1981. He then moved to O W Loeb as a director working with clients including Alsace. He now finds new agencies for Dreyfus Ashby & Co.
