Power List

Nephew of the late author Isaac Asimov, Asimov has beenwriting about wine since 1999, and was named chief wine critic at the New YorkTimes in 2005, taking over the mantle from Frank Prial. He writes two columnsfor the paper and a blog, and is lauded by followers for his thoughtful, objective, yet inclusive approach. His palate is also seen as more receptive torestraint in wines than that of the ever-so-slightly receding Robert Parker, further fueling the fashion for less powerful wines.
