Burgundy 2008: Top 3 from Haynes Hanson & Clark

Stephen Brook gives his top three wines from the Haynes Hanson & Clark Burgundy 2008 tasting

Some delicious Meursaults at Haynes Hanson & Clark.

Hard to choose between Roulot’s ‘Tillets’ (rich, tangy, and spicy, with lots of vigour; £390 IB), Grux’s ‘Meix Chavaux’ (broader and more full-bodied, but with depth and length; £212 IB), and Champy’s ‘Grands Charrons’ (full and creamy but with minerality and finesse; £249 IB).

Reds more patchy, but Mugneret-Gibourg’s Nuits Chaignots (tight and lively, with elegant tannins; £325 IB) just about stole the show.
