Mendoza announces winners of the 2013 ‘Best of Wine Tourism’ awards

Mendoza’s Park Hyatt Hotel recently hosted Mendoza’s 2013 ‘Best Of Wine Tourism’ awards ceremony.

Over 250 guests attended, including the Argentine Minister of Tourism Enrique Meyer, the Governor of Mendoza Francisco Pérez and Mendoza’s Minister of Tourism Javier Espina.

The increasing importance and prestige of the Best Of awards attracted more than 80 candidates in seven categories: Accommodation, Restaurants, Architecture and Landscapes, Art and Culture, Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences, Wine Tourism Services, and Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices.

The 2013 winners are:

Accommodation: Atamisque Lodge
Wine Tourism Restaurant: Casa del Visitante – Familia Zuccardi
Architecture and Landscape: Pulenta Estate
Art and Culture: El Camino del Vino – Frontera Films 
Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences: Entre Cielos
Wine Tourism Services: Mendoza Holidays
Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices: Salentein – Mundo Salentein

Minister of Tourism Meyer remarked, “I’m glad to come and see that the Mendoza wine tourism activity is improving constantly, competing for national awards and making further effort for an international award, as all entrepreneurs do. Supporting these efforts are essential for us.”

Mendoza’s winners will compete for the international Best Of Wine Tourism Awards at the annual meeting of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network in Florence on November 8.
