Robert Parker

Robert Parker is an American wine critic and one of the most widely-recognised figures in the wine world.

His 100-point scale for rating wines as well as the newsletter and subsequent magazine, The Wine Advocate, have become increasingly influential in American wine buying and have been credited as a major factor in the setting of Bordeaux En Primeur prices each year.

In December 2012, it was announced that Robert Parker will be stepping down as editor-in-chief of Wine Advocate which will be taking on three new Asian investors and opening a new office in Singapore, where the magazine will now be run.
