Region 'Oregon Pinot Noir' - Year 1987
|drink now||A very ripe vintage, producing attractive, easy-drinking wines|
Springtime conditions were normal with budbread, bloom and set coming to completion by May. The vintage from then on was dry and relatively warm. It continued so up into September leading to an early harvest. The grapes were ripe, with some reports of overly-ripe fruit at the fermenters. But fruit maturity levels ranged widely from site to site with an equal number of winemakers producing over acidic, green Pinots.
