Region 'Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon' - Year 1995
|drink soon||A mixed vintage but with much good Cabernet|
It began with mild, warm weather during the winter and early spring. However, by the late spring and continuing into the early summer, the daily temperature turned surprisingly cool. As a result of the long-term cool conditions, bud-break and flowering were delayed by two weeks. There was also enough rain to annoy growers who in this semi-arid region are not familiar with summertime rain. Characterized as a cool and long growing season,1995 was a moderately sized crop and the harvest extended well into October. When summer arrived, the grapes began a slow, steady ripening process.
