Specialising in alternative varieties, Alpha Box & Dice have created an impressive Barbera that differs from the Italian norm. A concentrated nose of red fruit and pot-pourri leads into a dense palate. Well balanced and intense, there is a tarry character that is countered by a precise, cranberry-laced acidity which runs through the centre. Ripe and pure red fruits jump out from the dark, savoury palate and lead into a long finish.
