An appealing Syrah-dominated blend, accompanied by 5% Malbec and 2% Viognier. Meaty yet perfumed, it has a powerful palate of violet-tinged black fruit with a hint of crispy bacon. Tar and liquorice notes complete the rich, brooding character of this wine. It lacks the grippy tannins to perfectly balance the richness, but this makes it very approachable to drink immediately. The finish is long, with a gamey, smoky finish.
