Tamaya was the surprise of this year’s Wines of Chile Awards where it took the competition by storm, winning trophies for three of its wines: a 2010 Chardonnay Reserva, a 2010 Winemaker’s Selection Syrah and a 2010 Reserva blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Located in the foothills of the Andes in the Limarí Valley 20km from the Pacific Ocean, Tamaya is planted to 160ha, of which the red varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah and Sangiovese. This blend is in the cooler climate, elegant spectrum of Chilean reds. Cracking value.
