From Chianti's quality heartland, designated Classico, this wine has a plum and cherry nose alongside notes of tar and spice. There is a bit of grip from the tannins, followed by subtly juicy cherry fruit. On the finish there is some black pepper spice from the oak and a hint of menthol.
