History:

In 1864 Henri Drouilhet de Sigalas bought Château Rabaud from Gabriel Deyme, who had purchased the estate 45 years earlier from the de Cazeau family, owners since mid-17th century. For decades under Sigalas control, land was added and sold, and it was during these dealings that Château Rabaud-Promis was cleaved off. In 1949, the estate passed to Marquis René de Lambert de Granges (then married to Henri’s great granddaughter), who did much to improve the its fortunes. Following a period under syndicate control, Sigalas-Rabaud has now returned to the Lambert de Grange fold in the shape of René’s son Emmanuel and his daughter Laure.
