History:

The vineyard of Clos des Jacobins lies right at the gates of Saint-Emilion, a single plot surrounding cellars at the foot the town’s slope – on land once belonging to the Church. During the 19th century, it was owned by the Cordes and Vauthier families, but in 1964 was sold to Domaines Cordier. The property has changed hands twice since then: once in 2001 when it was acquired by Gérard Frydman and again in 2004 when it was purchased by Bernard Decoster. Clos des Jacobins has subsequently been passed to Bernard Decoster’s son Thibaut and his wife Magali. It was formerly known as Château Clos des Jacobins but its title was shortened in 1997.
