Rias Baixas Albarino: panel tasting results
Adega Valdés, Gundian, Rias Baixas, Galicia, 2011, Spain
Ferran Centelles: The nose has grass and herbs. The palate is really crunchy, with herbs and grass flavours that mingle with a citrus acidity and a sea salinity. This Albariño has a sharp style. 17
John Radford: Very pale straw, hint of green. Very subtle fruit, rather closed but good, crisp 'crunchy' fruit on the fore, gentle, balanced mid and a nice, expressive finish. 17
Sarah Jane Evans MW: Gently creamy nose, subtly floral. First impression is rich, full bodied with firm lime lift, then mid-palate falls away. Pineapple and passion fruit add exotic notes to end with a vivid finish. 16
