Rias Baixas Albarino: panel tasting results
Santiago Roma, Rias Baixas, Galicia, 2011, Spain
Ferran Centelles: The mouth feel is high in quality but the nose is rather low in intensity and complexity with a slightly plain character. Very peachy and soft finish. 15
John Radford: Pale straw, hint of gold. Rather reluctant, almost closed, some delicate fruit perfume but lovely clean, fresh fruit on fore, another bit of austerity on mid but patience is rewarded on the finish, with crisp, citrusy fruit. 17
Sarah Jane Evans MW: Smoky elements on nose, alongside citrus and pineapple fruit. Rich, ripe, succulent fruit, peaches, pineapples, grapefruit, a generous mouthful. Finish is long, ripe and glossy, with a tight stony ending with a note of chalk. 17
