Rias Baixas Albarino: panel tasting results
Pazo Barrantes, Rias Baixas, Galicia, 2011, Spain
Ferran Centelles: Full of stone fruit character, this wine shows a very soft palate. A more ripe style with combination of ripe fruit and body. Slightly higher in alcohol and really flowery finish. 14.5
John Radford: Very pale straw, hint of green. Subtle, spicy, 'green' fruit, leafy. Nicely balanced, fruit and crisp acidity, delicious mid, just a touch light on the finish (another 6 months?). 17
Sarah Jane Evans MW: Slightly confected: peach conserve, crystallised lemons. Palate is rich and full, promises plenty of flavour. Style is of baked apples, cream, sweet spice. Fades to a lightly chalky finish 14.5
