Rias Baixas Albarino: panel tasting results
Pazo de Galegos, Rias Baixas, Galicia, 2011, Spain
Ferran Centelles: Full of ripe stone fruit aromas, this Albariño shows a more opulent perspective, with hints of withe flowers and slightly flinty character. On the palate it is fuller with riper taste but still with a refreshing acidity that balances the taste. 17
John Radford: Pale straw, hint of 'green-gold'. Warm, 'woodland' aromas. Lovely. Rich, warm fruit on the fore, some weight on the mid and a fresh, clean finish, perhaps a little light right at the end, but good. 17
Sarah Jane Evans MW: Bright polished light gold Subtly smoky aroma. Rich broad style, showing depth and notes of sweet spice, mineral notes, crystallised citrus fruit shows lightly underneath. Fairly long. 16
