The second of our 2009 Right Bank tastings fared slightly better than Pomerol, with three ‘Outstanding’ wines and all but two wines being judged as ‘Recommended’ or ‘Highly Recommended’. So, expectations were largely met, with Hugo Rose MW declaring: ‘No one will suffer for buying these. I think it will end up being a vintage that a nonexpert can buy without risk.’
