Meinklang, Graupert Pinot Gris, Austria 2010
Graupert, meaning unkempt, explains it all. These biodynamic Pinot Gris vines are allowed to grow wildly in the Austrian countryside as no pruning is undertaken. The result: smaller, concentrated berries showing beeswax and white blossom notes with a mineral streak. This is not your usual Pinot Gris. 17pts/20 (90/100pts)
