Castello di Buttrio, Merlot, Friuli Colli Orientali 2009
Translucent ruby red, blackcurrant leaf, liquorice and coffee bean aromas, good intensity of fruit flavour, tempered by refreshing acidity. Not too rich, neither too hot (given the high alcohol), medium bodied, clean, carefully made Merlot. 17/20pts (90/100pts)
