Coonawarra and Margaret River Cabernet: panel tasting results (2013)
Devil’s Lair, Margaret River 2008
Decanter average score: 17.5pts/20 (91/100pts)
Individual judges’ scores: RJ 18 PM 18 AR 16.5
Attractively sweet dark cassis, mulberry and liquorice fragrance. Structural, punchy style with intense, persistent fruit with a silky textural quality thanks to fine-grained tannins. A Margaret River red that’s stood the test of time and should continue to do so for a while yet.
