These structured, ageworthy wines pleased our judges on the whole, but they criticised the high oak,
extraction and alcohols in many examples, which masked their vineyard character. Nevertheless, two wines were awarded Outstanding and 17 wines Highly Recommended - see all 19 St Emilion 2010s here...

Plenty of black autumnal fruits with very expressive aromas, and fragrance from the Cabernet Franc. Massive concentration and extract – this is a powerful, modern St-Emilion with a big tannic frame. Lots of natural sweetness with an exotic richness, but needs time to harmonise.
